Today I am searching blogs pertaining to Jazz… film… movies. I am looking through your list and it seems you have selected a few artists that I agree with the selection 100%. Can’t help but love Silver and “Something Else” is Miles the way I want to remember him.
As of yesterday 1.28.10, I began my first blog for a Masters class on Musicians and the Internet. I feel your comments would enhance a blog that deals with Jazz in film/film on Jazz.
I like what you’re doing and I intend to view the various entries and lists. So with that being said, my favorite album (it is only issued in vinyl) is Horace Silver: Silver ‘n Voices.
I am a big Horace Silver fan. I especially like Blowin’ the Blues Away, Finger Poppin’, Song for My Father, and In Pursuit of the 27th Man. And I even love the kitsch factor of his early seventies “healing feeling” records with vocals. I will have to give the albums in the “Silver ‘n’” series another listen.
Hello there, just became alert to your blog through Google, and found that it’s truly informative. I’m going to watch out for brussels. I will appreciate if you continue this in future. A lot of people will be benefited from your writing. Cheers!
